Nate Kitch Replica comedy review: Well-crafted chaos
There is a method to the madness of Nate Kitch’s bemusing, goofy and fabulously unhinged hour

You wouldn’t normally think that having your back to the audience, before and at the beginning of a show, would go down particularly well. But Nate Kitch proves us (including the man who left even before his set began) very much wrong. From the outset, this divorcee, who has now had to bid his farewells to two dogs through the ending of relationships, takes the audience on a wild whirlwind tour of different topics, all the while winding his way through mainstream, alternative and… jazz comedy?
Without wanting to ruin punchlines or sheer shock effects, but his frankly unhinged comedic routine will either leave you rollicking with laughter or giggling at the sheer confusion created. Some may say this set is hard to follow in places but that could be his biggest advantage (many left a generous donation on exiting, which suggests his audience approve). To summarise, in short, because it’s a struggle to express what we’ve just witnessed: be ready to be confused because, to quote Kitch, it’s ‘all gone to shit’.
