New music all-dayer Tomorrow’s Harvest announced for Glasgow
Tomorrow’s Harvest comes from the team who organise Cowgate Block Party, and features Working Men’s Club and Maruja as headliners
Glasgow is set to receive a brand-new music two-dayer called Tomorrow’s Harvest, which will introduce a line-up of emerging indie talent and a few stalwarts of the music scene. Taking place on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 August at QMU, tickets for the gigs go on sale at 10am on Wednesday 15 July.
Top of Friday’s bill is Working Men’s Club, the indie-synth favourites who’ve won fans thanks to their New Order-adjacent pop and retro hooks. They’ll be joined on the day by Awful Eyes, Bathing Suits, Heavy Weather, Humane, Puppy Teeth, San Jose and Sex Thistle.
Headlining Saturday is Maruja (pictured above), the punk-jazz band who (much like Working Men’s Club) have formed a following from their reputation as BBC 6 Music favourites. They’ll be joined by Fog Bandits, Mleko, Pleasure Trail, Speedial and Tina Sandwich, with plenty more acts to be announced as the event draws near.
Tomorrow’s Harvest booker Craig Gornall said: ‘We’ve had two sell-out events this year already at the Cowgate Block Parties in Edinburgh, and we can’t wait to bring some of the hottest new artists to Glasgow as well.
‘The QMU has introduced generations of Glaswegians and students from further afield to their new favourite band, and we want to continue that brilliant legacy with our new weekender, Tomorrow’s Harvest.’
