Nominations for BAFTA Scotland 2024 revealed

BAFTA Scotland have announced the nominations for its 2024 edition, with Dinosaur, Baby Reindeer, Is There Anybody Out There? and Two Doors Down each receiving multiple nods. The winners will be revealed at a ceremony in Glasgow on Sunday 17 November, hosted by Edith Bowman and live streamed on BAFTA’s YouTube, with an edited highlights programme set to be broadcast on BBC Scotland and BBC iPlayer on Wednesday 20 November.

Also on the list are luminaries like Tilda Swinton for her dual role in The Eternal Daughter, Saul Metzstein for his directorial work on Apple TV+’s smash hit Slow Horses, David Tennant for the comedy-drama series There She Goes, and Hope Dickson Leach for directing cult hit The Strange Case Of Dr Jekyll And Mr Hyde.

Edith Bowman, BAFTA Scotland Awards host, said, ‘It’s an absolute joy to be back hosting the BAFTA Scotland Awards. My favourite night of the year. Year after year, I am blown away by the creativity and talent on show and I can’t wait to celebrate them all on Sunday 17 November.’

Jude MacLaverty, Director of BAFTA Scotland, added, ‘Our nominations this year reflect the incredible output and creativity that is possible with support for, and investment in, the Scottish screen industries, and the individuals whose craft and stories resonated with audiences in Scotland and around the world this past year.

‘From first-time nominees to much-loved screen talent, it is so encouraging to see such a diverse range of nominees celebrated today. Congratulations to all and we look forward to celebrating our nominees and winners at the BAFTA Scotland Awards on Sunday 17 November.’
