NTS heads to The Johnnie Walker Experience for a special night of dance music

NTS, the long-standing radio station that champions eclectic and pioneering music, has announced a partnership with Johnnie Walker for an evening of homegrown DJ talent called Keep Walking Live With NTS Radio. Taking place on Thursday 13 October at the Johnnie Walker Experience’s 1820 Rooftop Bar, free tickets are available from Resident Advisor

First on the bill is La La, a Scotland-born DJ who’s successfully played shows in Ibiza, Sydney and other international destinations, alongside a barnstorming set at Glastonbury earlier this year. A champion of house music, she’s also the head of Brand New Records, a label dedicated to promoting the work of Scottish acts.

She’ll be followed by a fixture of Scotland’s music scene, DIJA (pictured above), an Egyptian-Lithuanian DJ and visual artist whose tastes range from Arabic disco to Afro house. Dance afficionados will recognise her from her residency at Glasgow’s La Cheetah Club.

Maveen will close the night with his genre defying taste and penchant for spotlighting under-appreciated artists. A host on Radio Buena Vida and for his label Kintu, expect an eclectic mash-up of sounds. As well as music, ticketholders will receive a free highball on arrival.

Erin Ramsay, head of Johnnie Walker Experience, said: 'Scotland has always been at the forefront of the global music scene, and at The Johnnie Walker Experience we love celebrating the creativity and talent our country has to offer. Keep Walking Live With NTS, presented by The Johnnie Walker Experience, is a perfect way to bring that energy to life.

‘We’re thrilled to host this new platform and connect with our fans through music and culture. In partnership with NTS Radio, who lead the way in music and events, we can’t wait to put on a night to remember this November.’

Established in South London in 2011, NTS Radio has established a permanent foothold in music culture for its sharp, eclectic selections, letting the worlds of grime, pop, death metal, ambient, psychedelia and any manner of international sounds sit side-by-side. Beyond Johnnie Walker, the station has previously partnered with Tate Modern, Adidas Originals, Warp Records and Netflix.
