GLASGOW MARKETS
Milngavie Market
Douglas Street, 1st & 3rd Friday of month
This town and Glasgow suburb has a large car-free pedestrian precinct, used for its twice-monthly markets. Among the stalls expect to find bread and bakes, cheese, meat, game, and fruit and veg, plus plenty of gift and craft vendors.
Partick Farmers’ Market
Mansfield Park, 2nd & 4th Saturday of month, 10am–2pm
The square at Partick gets bustling with this market featuring fresh fruit and veg stalls, coffee roasters, meat reared locally, fishmongers, cakes and bakes, as well as street food set-ups for grabbing a bite to eat.
Shawlands Farmers’ Market
5 Langside Avenue, 1st & 3rd Saturday of month, 10am–2pm
Small but well positioned market outside Langside Hall at Queen’s Park. Expect local meat from Cedar Cottage Country Foods, wild produce from Woodmill Game, vegan food from Jaldikatessen, cakes from Three Sisters Bake and more.
OUT OF TOWN MARKETS
Helensburgh Market In The Square
Colquhoun Square, 2nd & last Saturday of month, 10am–4pm
The Clydeside town’s attractive square is the setting for a regular market as well as seasonal festivals. There’s a good spread of food vendors for fruit and veg, meat, baked goods and more, plus street food and various crafty sellers.
The Market At Loch Lomond Shores
Ben Lomond Way, Balloch, 1st & 3rd Sunday of month, 10am–4pm
With a picturesque spot on the edge of the loch, this well-attended market brims with fruit and veg, local meat and game, spirits, regional breweries, etc, as well as local street food and plenty of craft and gift stalls.
STREET FOOD COLLECTIVES
Big Feed
After three years away, 2025 saw the return of this popular street food collective, back in Govan where it all began several years ago. Food trucks offer everything from Lebanese wraps and pizzas to bao buns and bakes, plus live music and kids’ stuff. Check their socials for upcoming events and location.
Clydeside Containers
61 Broomielaw
With plans to open later in 2025, this unique set-up next to the Clyde will see repurposed shipping containers occupied by several street food vendors, including Pizza Cult, Sub 126, and a rotating offering of others. A roof covering will provide some protection from the elements.
The Dockyard Social
95–107 Haugh Road
This Finnieston-based street food set-up offers a weekly collective of mobile kitchens, from pizza and Thai to Tex-Mex and more. There’s also bars, music and screenings in their big weatherproof warehouse.
