Peter Gabriel has announced a tour of UK arenas for 2023. Tickets for the shows go on sale at 10am on Friday 11 February. 

The tour comes as Gabriel prepare to release his first album in more than 20 years. Titled I/O, he said of the album, ‘It's reaching completion. I'm just finishing things up. So, there should be … some news about it soon.' Gabriel’s last album Up was released in September 2002. 

Forever known as ‘that guy with that really good stop motion video’, the sensation of 1980s music will play from his vast catalogue including ‘Don’t Give Up’, ‘Solsbury Hill’ and, yes, ‘Sledgehammer’, as well as choice cuts from the new album. 

Peter Gabriel said of the tour, ‘It’s been a while and I am now surrounded by a whole lot of new songs and am excited to be taking them out on the road for a spin. Look forward to seeing you out there.’

Saturday 17 June – Utilita Arena, Birmingham 

Monday 19 June – The O2, London 

Thursday 22 June – OVO Hydro, Glasgow 

Friday 23 June – AO Arena, Manchester
