Pleasance

Vikki Stone: Song Bird
London-based comedian and musician Vikki Stone returns to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with her amusing new show Song Bird. During previews, Song Bird earned the Best Improv/Musical Show award at the 2019 Leicester Comedy Festival. Stone has also appeared on BBC Radio 4's The Now Show, BBC One's John Bishop Show and the BBC Proms Podcast.

Sexy Lamp
Katie Arnstein's charming show combines comedy, music, and storytelling to uncover the absurdity of the entertainment industry. Katie dreamed of being in show business ever since she was young, but soon discovered that the realities of the industry were far from glamorous. Sexy Lamp took home awards for Show of the Week and Pleasance Pick at the 2019 VAULT Festival.

Michael Odewale: #BLACKBEARSMATTER
Winner of Best New Show at the 2019 Leicester Comedy Festival, British comedian Michael Odewale presents his highly-anticipated debut #BLACKBEARSMATTER at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Odewale's witty stand-up routine covers everything from racism to politics and pigeons. Don't miss the chance to see this rising star in action.

FATTY FAT FAT
Written and performed by Katie Greenall, FATTY FAT FAT sheds a light on what it's like to be constantly judged and criticised because of your body size. An advocate for the fat acceptance movement, Greenall aims to bring together and empower beautiful fat bodies in this honest and inspiring show which won the Origins Award for Outstanding New Work at the VAULT Festival 2019.

Gilded Balloon

Ben Hart: The Nutshell
Magician Ben Hart returns to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year with his extremely popular sell-out show. Winner of Best Magic Show at the 2019 Adelaide Fringe awards (weekly), The Nutshell consistently stuns audiences with unbelievable magic tricks and illusions.

Alex Cofield: Supernova
This critically-acclaimed musical combines funk, hip hop, and rap to tell the story of Alex Cofield's youthful dreams of escaping the rural English countryside for the big city. Supernova was a Melbourne Fringe Best Comedy Award nominee and comedy winner of The International Youth Arts Festival Best of Brighton Fringe Awards 2019.

Laura Lexx: Knee Jerk
Winner of the prestigious Comedian's Choice Award for Best Performer last year, Laura Lexx brings her hilarious new show to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Knee Jerk examines how challenging it is to be a decent human being in today's easily-offended society. Audiences may recognise Lexx as a delightful star of Live at the Apollo (BBC2) and host of Radio 4 Extra's The Comedy Club.

Anguis
Set in a broadcast recording studio, Anguis depicts an in-depth interview about death, femininity, and truth between the pharaoh Cleopatra and a contemporary virologist, Kate. Anguis is the debut play written by 2018 Olivier award-winning actor Sheila Atim (The Old Vic's Girl From the North Country).

Sam Taunton: It's Nice, It's Modern
Catch stand-up comedian and 2019 Melbourne International Comedy Festival Pinder Prize winner Sam Taunton in his Edinburgh debut. One of the most popular young acts in Australian comedy, Taunton sold out venues across his home country last year with the sharp and charming It's Nice, It's Modern. A natural performer on the rise, Taunton is one not to be missed.

Collapsible
From award-winning Irish writer Margaret Perry, Collapsible is a monologue by Essie, a woman who has just lost her job and been left by her girlfriend. Audiences will follow Essie as she desperately tries to hold on for life while her world quickly crumbles around her. Collapsible was a winner of the Origins Award for Outstanding New Work at the 2019 VAULT Festival.

Aboriginal Comedy Allstars
Australian stars Kevin Kropinyeri, Andy Saunders, and Steph Tisdell (2019 Melbourne International Comedy Festival Pinder Prize winner) make up the The Aboriginal Comedy Allstars. The delightful trio will dive into Indigenous Australian culture and challenges in this fresh and lively show that is guaranteed to have audiences in stitches.

My Father the Tantric Masseur
Join Roann McCloskey as she attempts to navigate life as a British Algerian queer woman with a conservative English father turned tantric masseur and a traditional Muslim mother. Expect uncomfortable laughs in this uproarious solo show which won an Origins Award for Outstanding New Work at the 2019 VAULT Festival.

Underbelly

YUCK Circus
A contemporary comedy circus, YUCK has won numerous awards in 2019 including: Adelaide Fringe Emerging Artist Award, Adelaide Tour Ready Award, Top-tier Fringe World Martin Sims Award, and Best Circus Fringe World (weekly). Expect laughable acrobatics, dancing, and more in this high-energy show featuring a talented cast of all-female performers.

Conspiracy
Winner of the 2019 Underbelly Untapped Award, this production from acclaimed touring theatre company Barrel Organ is centred around conspiracy theories, fake news, and mistrust. Watch as three conspiracy theorists examine an infamous photo and let their imaginations run wild with outlandish possibilities.

Troy Hawke: Tiles of the Unexpected!
Perth Fringe World 2019 Best Comedy nominee and Perth Fringe World 2019 Weekly Comedy Award winner Troy Hawke brings his latest show to Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Hawke touches on topics including Kanye West, xenophobia, and IKEA's connection to the CIA in this clever and comical show.

Just Desserts
A delicious musical food cabaret from Australian singing cook Michelle Pearson. In her UK debut, Pearson explores important topics through song, sex, and sugar. Best of all, dessert is included! Just Desserts was the winner of Best Cabaret (weekly) and the Made in Adelaide award at the 2019 Adelaide Fringe.
