‘The best thing about the Friday is getting there mid-morning and finding loads of space in the campsites. We don’t cram anyone in, it’s very chilled and geared towards meeting new people.

’Fatboy Slim [headlining Friday night] is part of the fabric of Rock Ness. His production set up is unbelievable. To put it into some kind of scale he’s got more lights and special effects than Daft Punk and The Prodigy combined – we’ve had to bring in a bigger stage, it’s that big.’

Saturday

‘Club 75 have never played before. It’s the guys from Justice, Cassius and Ed Banger records, and I think that’s something everybody should check out.

‘I don’t want to jinx it but I think Leftfield are going to provide one of those classic festival moments. The music speaks for itself – when you hear tracks like ‘Melt’ in that environment it’s gonna be pretty special.

‘We’ve scheduled Aphex Twin so people can see both acts – we think that’s important. Richard plays very rarely these days so we’re delighted he’s coming up.’

Sunday

‘I think the place to be on Sunday afternoon will be the Sunday Best Arena with Rob da Bank. Because Rob’s got a very eclectic in view of entertainment, we’ve got Kevin Bridges for an afternoon comedy set in there. I think it’s going to re-energise any flagging spirits.

‘Then you can’t help but think ‘Main Stage’, where there’s Twin Atlantic, a big emerging Scottish band, and The Maccabees, who’ve had a great year. Then it just gets better and better. Blondie are going to give one of those sets people talk about at Rock Ness for the next few years, then you’re into Doves, one of my favourite festival bands, then Vampire Weekend and The Strokes. It’s such a great run into the end of the festival.
