Sam Fender has added three more shows to his People Watching tour of the UK this summer, with additional performances in Manchester, Edinburgh and Belfast. Tickets for his newly announced gigs go on sale at 10am on Friday 21 February. Scroll to the bottom of this article for a detailed list of his UK tour dates. 

The tour will come in support of his forthcoming third album People Watching, set for release on Friday 21 February on Polydor Records. Produced by The War On Drugs’ Adam Granduciel, it looks set to continue Fender’s trajectory towards ‘Springsteen but Geordie’ stadium dominance. A press release for the album describes it as ‘colourful stories and observations of everyday characters living their everyday, but often extraordinary, lives.’ 

Starting at Manchester’s Wythenshawe Park on Saturday 16 August, the new dates will then take him to Edinburgh’s Royal Highland Centre on Friday 22 August (as part of its Summer Sessions series) and Belfast’s Boucher Playing Fields on Thursday 28 August. Olivia Dean will join Fender as a special guest for each date.

The three shows join an already packed slate of performances for the ‘Seventeen Going Under’ songwriter, who’ll also play London Stadium on Friday 6 June and three shows at Newcastle’s St James’ Park on Thursday 12, Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 June. Limited numbers of tickets remain for those shows.
