Anyone who’s seen debonair 85-year-old Sir Roger Moore on television recently knows he’s still as sharp as Jaws’ creepy silver teeth and possessed of more anecdotes than he’d need to talk his way out of a crocodile farm. Expect to hear about his days as James Bond, his television roles as Simon Templar in The Saint and alongside Tony Curtis in The Persuaders, and more.

Much, much more
In a film career which started in 1945 and continues to this day (with a role in the Eliza Dushku-starring The Saint TV remake), he’s played Sherlock Holmes alongside Patrick Macnee’s Watson, and appeared as himself alongside Burt Reynolds in The Cannonball Run. Oh, and he starred with Michael Caine in Michael Winner’s bomb Bullseye!, the Spice Girls in Spice World and Jennifer Garner in Alias. Lots of material there, then.

He isn’t just in movies
Born in London, Moore has been married four times, has three children, is a friend of the royal families in Denmark, Sweden and Monaco, has survived prostate cancer and is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, a PETA supporter and a Conservative voter.
