Indie four-piece Seneka (Friday 29 August) are coming back together for their ten-year reunion gig, A Decade Of Devotion, at Edinburgh’s Voodoo Rooms. They’ll be performing their 2014 album, Man Made Earthquake, in its entirety and maybe throwing in a few covers.

SCREEN

Jaws 50th Anniversary

Streaming on Netflix from today, fans of Richard Osman’s cosy crime fiction will be able to see their favourite characters hit the small screen in Chris Columbus’s take on The Thursday Murder Club. Helen Mirren, Celia Imrie, Ben Kingsley and Pierce Brosnan play the crime-solving quartet.

And just when you thought it was safe to go back into the cinema, the original summer blockbuster Jaws (Saturday 30 August & Sunday 31 August) is back for its 50th anniversary, with Edinburgh’s Scotsman Picturehouse amongst those putting on screenings.

While over at the city’s Filmhouse, alongside their own screenings of Jaws, they have a 4K restoration of Jean-Pierre Melville’s classic 1967 thriller Le Samouraï (Saturday 30 August), starring Alain Delon as a hitman trying to discover who hired him for a job and then tried to kill him.
