Sparks announce return to UK with 2026 tour dates

Sparks, the remarkably durable art pop duo, have announced a brief tour of the UK, including some support slots for Damon Albarn’s cartoon rockers Gorillaz. Tickets for the tour will go on sale 10am on Friday 30 January. Scroll to the bottom of this article for a detailed list of the band’s UK gigs.

The shows come after the critical success of the band’s latest album MAD!, which released last year. They followed up MAD! with MADDER!, their first ever EP since forming in 1968, while Russell Mael contributed his quirky falsetto to the latest Gorillaz single ‘The Happy Dictator’.

The brothers Sparks will start their tour at London’s Hospital Chelsea on Friday 12 June, before heading to Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Bandstand on Sunday 14 June, Blackpool Opera House on Monday 15 June, Bournemouth International Centre on Wednesday 17 June and Bristol Beacon on Thursday 18 June. They’ll also act as special guests at Gorillaz' mega-gig at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday 20 June. Tickets for that gig are on sale now
