T in the Park 2016: T Break Stage open for submissions

Biggest stage for unsigned bands in Scotland puts out annual call for entries
Entries are now open for the 21st T Break at T in the Park, arguably the most important opportunity in the year for unsigned Scottish acts to get their music heard by people that matter.
To enter, all you have to do is submit your best three tunes on the T Break website via Soundcloud. The judging panel – made up of 16 of Scotland’s most influential music industry experts from artists to promoters, managers to media – will listen to every demo before handpicking the final 16 acts to play the T Break Stage at T in the Park on 8–10 July, 2016.
Deadline for entry is 8 April at midnight, with judging set to take place early May and the successful bands revealed later that month. Previously selected artists include the likes of Snow Patrol, Biffy Clyro, Twin Atlantic and Paolo Nutini. Of the class of 2015, we’re already starting to see waves from Apache Darling and Tijuana Bibles.
‘T Break is a fantastic opportunity for Scotland’s up and coming unsigned acts and one which Tennent’s Lager are very proud to have offered for 21 years,’ explains Nicola Cooper, Sponsorship Executive at Tennent’s Lager. ‘Not only will the successful 16 acts get the chance to play the T Break Stage in front of the legendary T in the Park crowd, they will also gain exposure to many influential music industry insiders and benefit from the many press and PR opportunities T Break has to offer.’
Gerry Cinnamon, who played T Break 2015, agrees: ‘It’s the only show in town, there’s nowhere else that gives bands the opportunity to play a big stage like this’
Entry is open to musicians of all genres. However, participants must be over 18, live in Scotland and currently unsigned. Check out tennents.com/tbreak for more info.
