The Cure announce outdoor shows for summer 2026: How to get tickets
Robert Smith’s goth kings will perform at venues in Dublin, Belfast, Manchester and Edinburgh next year

The Cure, whose live shows have become legendary for their length and dynamism, have announced a run of outdoor gigs across the UK and Ireland next year. Tickets for the shows go on sale at 9am on Friday 3 October. Scroll to the bottom of this article for a detailed list of the band’s UK and Ireland performances.
The veteran act have been riding a new wave of popularity since the release of their latest album Songs Of A Lost World last year, which revelled in doomier tones as Robert Smith lamented the passing of several relatives. At the time of its release, we claimed, ‘ [This] is as lyrically rich as Smith has ever been, in part because he spent 16 years writing instrumentals until he finally had something to say; he lost both of his parents and his brother while Songs Of A Lost World was being conceived, and their absence hangs heavily over the record. This may or may not be the final album we receive from The Cure (Smith has intimated that two more are in the works), but it may be the last which allows him to be quite so vulnerable.’ Read the full article here. The album has since been remixed into Mixes Of A Lost World, featuring contributions from Orbital, Daniel Avery and Four Tet.
Starting at Dublin’s Marlay Park on Friday 26 June, the tour will then take the band to Belfast’s Ormeau Park on Sunday 28 June, Manchester’s Wythenshawe Park on Friday 21 August and Edinburgh’s Royal Highland Showgrounds on Sunday 23 August.
Support for the shows will vary: The Twilight Sad, Just Mustard, and Stella And The Dreaming will perform at the Dublin shows; The Twilight Sad and Just Mustard in Belfast; Slowdive and The Slow Readers Club in Manchester; and Mogwai, Slowdive and Just Mustard will join the band in Edinburgh.
We spoke with one of The Cure’s closest collaborators, Tim Pope, last summer when he was preparing for a talk at Fringe By The Sea. ‘I love him,’ he said of Smith. ‘I mean, I've known the guy since he was just out of his 20s. When I’m making videos, the mystique of him is there but the real man is too. He’s a very down-to-earth bloke.’ Read the full interview here.
