The Divine Comedy announce 2025 UK tour dates: How to get tickets
Neil Hannon will also return this year with new album Rainy Sunday Afternoon

The Divine Comedy have announced a tour of the UK in support of their new album. Tickets for the shows go on sale at 10am on Thursday 17 April. Scroll to the bottom of this article for a detailed list of the band’s UK performances.
Neil Hannon’s near-four-decade old band will tour in support of Rainy Sunday Afternoon, the follow-up to 2019’s Office Politics and their first original work since Hannon re-entered the popular consciousness with his whimsical score for Wonka. The album is set for release on Friday 19 September on the band's own label.
‘My musical output is, for better or worse, a representation of my personality,’ said Hannon in a press release. ‘A good chunk of that personality revels in the rumbumptious; celebrates the silly. And I made ample use of that for the Wonka songs.’
‘I have, though, like everyone, a darker, more melancholy side. And for one reason or another it has been much in evidence of late,' he continued 'I needed to use this album as an outlet for those feelings. To work through some stuff. Mortality; memories; relationships; political and social upheaval. Everyone should get to make an orchestral pop album once in a while. It should be available on the NHS.’
Starting at Liverpool’s Philharmonic Hall on Monday 6 October, the band will then visit venues in Nottingham, Bath, Gateshead, London, Brighton, Cambridge, Sheffield, Wolverhampton, Swansea, Glasgow, York, Oxford and Manchester, with a concluding date at Bristol Beacon on Saturday 25 October.
