The National announce UK tour dates for 2023: how to get tickets

The National have announced a number of UK shows as part of a larger tour for summer 2023. Tickets for the shows go on sale at 10am on Friday 27 April. Scroll to the bottom of this article for a full list of the band's UK tour dates.

The announcement came as the band dropped news of their ninth studio album First Two Pages Of Frankenstein, set for release on Friday 28 April via 4AD and featuring collaborations with Sufjan Stevens, Taylor Swift and Phoebe Bridgers.

In a statement on the new album, frontman Matt Berninger wrote, ‘Even though we’d always been anxious whenever we were working on a record, this was the first time it ever felt like maybe things really had come to an end.’ Guitarist Bryce Dessner added that the band ‘managed to come back together and approach everything from a different angle, and because of that we arrived at what feels like a new era for the band.’

Starting on Saturday 23 September at First Direct Arena in Leeds, the UK leg of the tour will head to Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on Sunday 24 September and London’s Alexandra Palace on Tuesday 26 September. Support for the shows will come from Soccer Mommy.
