Legendary rap outfit turned talk show house band The Roots have announced two massive outdoor shows across the UK this August. Tickets for the gigs go on sale at 10am on Friday 5 April. 

The Grammy award-winning group will headline Crystal Palace Bowl's South Facing Festival on Thursday 1 August and Margate’s Dreamland on Friday 2 August, with support from fellow hip hop doyens De La Soul and The Pharcyde. 

Since their last full album release …And Then You Shoot Your Cousin in 2014, The Roots have spent their dotage as the house band for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and reissued their 1995 classic Do You Want More?!!!??!. Questlove, drummer and joint frontman in the band, won an Oscar for his 2021 documentary Summer Of Love. His latest book, Hip Hop Is History, will be published on Tuesday 11 June. 

The Roots’ 2024 UK tour dates: 

Crystal Palace Bowl, London, Thursday 1 August 
Dreamland, Margate, Friday 2 August 

Tickets for The Roots' outdoor shows in the UK go on sale at 10am on Friday 5 April.
