Travis, Johnny Marr and Hurts announced for T in the Park 2013

Day splits also announced - see which acts are playing when from Fri 12-Sun 14 Jul

Glasgow band Travis have been announced as performers at T in the Park 2013. Having played at the very first T in the Park in 1994 as Glass Onion, they will return to Kinross to take part in the festival’s 20th anniversary, playing on Sat 13 Jul. Travis previously headlined the festival in 2000 and 2005, where they created a number of T in the Park’s most legendary performances. The band’s performance comes sandwiched between the release of their new single on Tue 30 Apr and the release of their hotly anticipated new album Where You Stand on Mon 19 Aug.

T in the Park have also revealed the day splits for the festival, along with a number of additional musical acts.

Newly announced for Fri 12 Jul are James Skelly of The Coral in his first solo outing, Fife-born Steve Mason making his solo debut, and LA pop group Milo Greene.

Sat 13 Jul is a good day for singer-songwriters, with English-Italian Jack Savoretti making his T in the Park debut; US musician Willy Mason (who recently toured with T in the Park headliners Mumford and Sons); and Northern Irish Foy Vance bringing his widely hailed lyricism to Kinross.

Finally, playing on Sun 14 Jul are Manchester electronic double act Hurts, returning to T in the Park having wowed the crowd in 2010 and 2011. Ex-Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr will be demonstrating what NME have dubbed Godlike Genius, and Brooklyn’s DIIV round off the new announcements.
