TRNSMT announce headliners for 2026

TRNSMT, Scotland's blockbuster festival of rock and pop, has revealed the first wave of acts for its 2026 edition, featuring a selection of crowd-pleasing acts. Taking place from Friday 19 – Sunday 21 June at Glasgow Green, tickets for the festival go on sale at 9am on Friday 14 November.

Leading the charge on Friday’s line-up is Richard Ashcroft, the onetime Verve frontman who’s enjoyed a resurgence in popularity after supporting Oasis on the initial leg of their reunion tour. He’ll be joined by the Mercury-nominated Wolf Alice, Glasgow troubadour Dylan John Thomas, party starters Nile Rodgers & Chic, and shonk-indie outfit The Beta Band. Also announced for Friday are NewDad, Luvcat, Songer and Cliffords.

For Saturday, prog lads Kasabian will headline, having played the festival several times since it began in 2017. Pop DJ and producer Sonny Fodera will also be on the bill, alongside indie favourites The Snuts, British rapper Loyle Carner, baroque pop sensation The Last Dinner Party, noisy indie lads The Fratellis, Mercury winners English Teacher and singer-songwriter Clementine Douglas. Other acts performing on the day include Rose Gray and Big Special.

Sunday will host two Scottish favourites, with Lewis Capaldi headlining and Amy MacDonald following close behind. They’ll be joined by country-pop phenomenon Cmat, singer-songwriter Perrie and open-hearted songwriter Katie Gregson-Macleod. Also on the bill are Red Rum Club, South Arcade, Overpass and Westside Cowboy, alongside a special afternoon slot for Two Door Cinema Club. Many more acts are set to be announced as the festival draws nearer.

Geoff Ellis, festival director of TRNSMT, said: ‘This year’s line-up is packed with brilliant artists – from anthemic festival headliners to the artists fans already know and love, plus lots of new artists for everyone to discover.

‘Every year, the atmosphere on Glasgow Green is amazing and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back for another unforgettable weekend, this time a little earlier than normal to kick off your summer of music in style.’

Last year’s festival welcomed 50 Cent, Biffy Clyro and Snow Patrol as its headliners, alongside acts like Fontaines DC, Confidence Man and Wet Leg. We wrote: ‘The same flaws persist at this festival every year (a dearth of female acts, a crowd more interested in star power than tunes) but its willingness to give rising Scottish artists a giant platform is something to be applauded.’ Read the full review here
