Director Bryan Singer recently released new concept art and the first official image of Kodi Smit-Mcphee in make up as Nightcrawler. Now a selection of unofficial fan shot images have surfaced that give us a glimpse of some of the other key characters – Jubilee (Lana Condor), Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) and Cyclops (Tye Sheridan) – in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse.

The garish retro threads prove the film is definitively set in the 80s (1983 to be precise). James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender will be returning, as Charles Xavier aka Professor X and Magneto respectively, alongside Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Beast and Evan Peters as Quicksilver. However this is the first sneaky peek at some of the new younger cast members.

Condor looks particularly good as Jubilee a near perfect reproduction of the comic character (see below). While Game of Thrones' Turner and Sheridan can be seen hanging out at the mall as superhero alter egos Jean Grey and Cyclops queuing to catch Return of the Jedi at the cinema (you can also spot Smit-Mcphee rocking the Michael Jackson look).

Still no sign of villain Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) or fellow X-Men Storm (Alexandra Shipp) and Angel (Ben Hardy) in costume as yet.

X-Men Apocalypse will be released in May 2016.
