The Vans Warped Tour, the biggest travelling music festival in the USA, is playing the Alexandra Palace this October, and no less than 28 of the hottest names in punk and metal will be turning the Ally Pally into a heaving, many-headed beast of riff-fuelled communal frenzy, which is to say, there'll be moshing. Warped hasn't been back to the UK since 2013 and it's back in enhanced form, with an extra stage added to the venue's West Hall, so what with the existing East Hall and Jukely and Jägermeister stages, fans can enjoy an uninterrupted panorama of punkerriffic metalyptitude.

The headliners are Hollywood's Black Veil Brides – this will be their only UK show this year – and York's Asking Alexandria. A book is also coming out, Misfit Summer Camp: 20 Years on the road with the Vans Warped Tour, chronicling the first two decades of Warped by means of interviews with previous participants including Bad Religion, Coheed and Cambria, No Doubt, Killswitch Engage and others. Fans who order the limited edition t-shirt and wear it at the show may be eligible for a backstage tour, meet and greets and other VIP-type privileges.
