Walk of Fame adds Jamie Foxx

Jamie Foxx has been added to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, claiming the honour was “one of the most amazing days” of his life and paying tribute to his grandmother who raised him.

The 39-year-old actor and musician, who won the best actor Oscar in 2005 for playing Ray Charles, is due to release his next film The Kingdom in two weeks.

The upcoming film features Foxx as a member of a US counter terrorism unit, hunting the villain responsible for a bombing in Saudi Arabia.

Foxx’s last album Unpredictable won the best male prize at the Soul Train Awards, while he has also received critical acclaim for his roles in the musical Dreamgirls, as well as modern war story Jarhead.
