Watch: Michael Flatley in Celtic Tiger

This week's The Shows Must Go On! selection sees the acclaimed choreographer explore the spirit of Ireland and its cultural traditions
The Shows Must Go On! returns this week with a production of Michael Flatley's dance spectacular, Celtic Tiger. Four years after announcing his retirement, the renowned Irish-American choreographer – perhaps best known for international hits such as Riverdance and Lord of the Dance – put on his dancing shoes once more in 2005 to bring Celtic Tiger to the world, proclaiming it is his 'finest work to date'.
Though all Flatley's works have drawn upon his Irish roots, Celtic Tiger struck a more political note than his previous productions, showcasing Ireland's indomitable spirit after centuries of oppression, and how their song and dance traditions have thrived throughout their struggle for freedom. The show premiered in Budapest, followed by a North American tour in 2005 and a European tour in 2006.
Celtic Tiger will be available online at The Shows Must Go On! YouTube channel for 48 hours at 7pm on Friday:
