Zara Gladman to headline ListLive Comedy Night in Glasgow

Since our glorious revival in 2022, we’ve rolled out a few ListLive shows with some of the best emerging musicians in the most respected small venues. But this time we're aiming for your funny bones with a comedy special featuring some of the finest acts touring Scotland's comedy scene today. Taking place at The Social Hub, Glasgow, on Friday 9 May, tickets for the next edition of ListLive are on sale now at £15.

Topping the bill is Zara Gladman, who has established herself live (and in a deluge of bitingly witty social media clips) with sharply observed characters like Aileen The Glasgow West End Mum. She was nominated for the Sir Billy Connolly Spirit Of Glasgow comedy award in 2024 and will be embarking on her first Fringe outing this year, titled Zara Gladman is… Aileen: Cameron’s Gap Year Fundraiser (Tuesday 29 July–Sunday 10 August).

Also in the mix is Kim Blythe, who's accrued a tidal wave of social media followers thanks to her sharp, no-nonsense observations. This self-professed ‘wee idiot’ has already nabbed The Skinny/Fest Next Big Thing Award at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe Bestie Awards and been shortlisted for the 2024 BBC New Comedy Awards.

Joining them is Eva Peroni, a sharp political stand-up with deft timing who flew into the semi-finals of the LGBTQ+ New Comedian Of The Year. Finally, there’s Alan Jay whose warm observational anecdotes have earned him spots on the BBC New Comedy Shortlist and a semi-finalist at the LGBTQ+ New Comedian show.

MCing the night will be Robin Grainger, who made headlines in 2022 when a single person attended his show (an ‘audient’). He's since springboarded his way to success and become a mainstay of Scotland’s stand-up scene, with appearances on the BBC’s The Comedy Underground and 4 Extra Stands Up
