Chinnor Village Hall has been part of village life since 1939. (Registered charity Number 304285) Chinnor Village Hall is situated centrally within the village of Chinnor, which nestles at the bottom of the Chiltern Hills in South Oxfordshire. Surrounded by rural life Chinnor Village Hall is the ideal location offering excellent and modern facilities so as to accommodate as many varied events as possible. An ideal place to hold parties, meetings, club sessions, toddler groups, musical or training events in either the main hall, small hall or our committee room, with kitchen and servery areas.

Music Box Chinnor Presents: Alan Barnes Ensemble
90 minutes of pure saxophonic' joy from UKs most treasured musicians Alan Barnes is a virtuoso saxophonist/clarinettist, composer, record company guru and all round good guy - hes also one of the funniest men youll see on a music performance stage. His range and brilliance have made him a first call for studio and live work since his precocious arrival on the scene more than thirty years ago. His recorded catalogue is immense. He has made over thirty albums as leader and co-leader alone, and the list of his session and side-man work includes Bjork, Bryan Ferry, Michel LeGrande, Westlife, Jools Holland and Jamie Cullum. He has toured and played residencies with such diverse and demanding figures as Ruby Braff, Freddie Hubbard, Scott Hamilton, Warren Vache, Ken Peplowski, Harry Allen and Conte Candoli. Alan will be on stage for this exciting show with pianist Jonathan Taylor, bassist Paul Jefferies and drummer Charlie Stratford.

The Burt Bacharach Experience Gorgeous melodies from the pen of Multi-Grammy Award Winner Burt Bacharach Were delighted to welcome the brilliant Burt Bacharach Experience, an evening exploring the incredibly diverse compositions of Burt Bacharach. Everyone knows the music of Burt Bacharach, with hits including The Look of Love, Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head, What the World Needs Now, and oodles more. Youll know the songs, but you wont have heard them played like this before! Leading the quartet, pianist Alex Steele is a much sought after pianist for many genres; Catherine Sykes is the complete professional and she sings with the Glenn Miller Orchestra UK, and many more; Lyrical bassist Paul Jefferies is joint creator of this show with Alex Steele - his work as a bassist, educator and promoter of live jazz throughout Oxfordshire and the Midlands is highly regarded and Euan Palmer is a truly excellent drummer, his work with all styles of jazz, modern classical and contemporary folk music plays a big part in his subtle appreciation of the music making process - he is the perfect fit for this quartet, adding equal measures of nuance and rhythm to Alex and Pauls arrangements.
Music Box Chinnor Presents: The Sophie Holder Band
A veritable Assiette of Internationally Renowned French Chanson Tunes For those culinary experts amongst you, youll know this means lost of ways of interpreting one flavour - and the delightful Sophie (wife of the great Ben Holder) - being fluent in French, Spanish and German will sing some of the most gorgeous French songs (Chanson). Expect melodies like I Wish You Love, 'La Vie en Rose, 'Je Ne Regret and Charles Trenets BOUM. The whole show will be laced with classics from Spain, USA and Germany. Ben will be playing predominantly piano with a touch of violin, Paul Jefferies adds rhythmic bottom end on bass and there will be drums! Wear your beret!!
