Shibden Hall and Folk Museum

Located just a mile from Halifax, Shibden Hall dates back to 1420 and its architecture reflects its age with a mixture of styles. The 17th century aisled barn and workshops house a carriage collection and displays. Shibden Park surrounds the hall and features a cafe, miniature railway, boating lake, pitch and putt, and more.

This exclusive opening allows us to show you the ornate wall paintings hidden behind the wood paneling in the Dining Room, you can marvel at the craftsmanship of the Tower Library and enjoy a venture underground along the Gardeners Tunnel. The ticket also provides regular access to Shibden Hall

Join us for tales of Shibdens supernatural and macabre past, as we walk through the narrow and shadow-filled rooms. The tours begin at the stone Lister Lion next to Shibden Hall. Please wear warm clothing as sections of the tours are outside. Not suitable for children.
