Join historian and paranormal enthusiast Emily Pierce for an exploration of Tudor House visiting the sites of reported hauntings at Tudor House, from the attic to the cellar, and discussing recent research into these potentially ghostly encounters. The tour will take us into areas of the building normally not accessible to the public. Please note that, due to the age of the building, parts of the tour are only accessible via steps and therefore may be inaccessible for those with limited mobility. Museum admission is included on the day of the tour.

Are you brave enough to spend an evening in a haunted house? Here is your chance to take part in an interactive real ghost hunt at the iconic Tudor House with the award-winning Supernatural Tours. The history of Tudor House spans overs an incredible 800 years starting with King John’s Palace and expanding to the Tudor House that we know today! Tudor House has had many owners including John Whytegod, Walter and Jane William and more notably Sir John Dawtrey who created the Tudor House which still stands to this day. This fascinating building is also home to several ghosts. In fact, the building is said to be so haunted that former custodians and owners have refused to enter certain parts of the building after dark! Ghosts include a dark spirit that has been seen wandering the corridors causing disturbances to the spirit of a young lady, who has been seen on the first floor. You will be able to take part in experiments and use equipment as seen on TV with para-normal experts Andrew Frewing-House and James Kemp. Andrew conducted the first-ever paranormal investigation at Tudor House and continued to investigate the building over several years. He has witnessed many of the paranormal occurrences including the sighting of a Victorian Gentleman who walked through part of the building and disappeared. Andrews’ experiences and work at Tudor House has appeared on Radio and in magazines and feature a local book. James has appeared on TV including an appearance on ITV1 and Radio across the UK and appeared in media. He has worked as a medium in the UK and the US. The two have run the award-winning Southampton Ghost Tours for nearly two decades. This event will include the use of equipment and participation in experiments as we discover if Tudor House is haunted.

Tudor House is the home of Halloween in Southampton and we’ll be opening our doors for free to invite you to join in the spooky celebrations! Weekday Wonderings is a weekday initiative from Southampton City Council Cultural Services, exploring the rich history and heritage of the town. Since the 1960s Pete has explored, worked on and come to know and love the fascinating vaults in Southampton, built by wealthy merchants during medieval times. In this walk Pete will unlock a selection of vaults and share his unparalleled knowledge of their history and how our forebears constructed them in the first place! Nearly a decade ago, Janey took up the challenge of photographing her home town of Southampton. Shocked by the rapid changes in the city centre, she began photographing the city and taking portraits of people she met.
