Gary Fletcher Band

Gary Fletcher Band

29 Sept 2025 - 29 Sept 2025

A great friend of The Midnight Special Blues Club returns to The Cabin with his full acoustic band and boy, are we excited! A founding member and bass player with UK legends "The Blues Band", Gary will be playing an evening of classic covers and originals accompanied by five of the most accomplished players around: Alan Glen (Harp), Andy Billups (Bass and Slide Guitars), Nick Ritchie (Guitars and Vocals), Tom Leary (Mandolin & Fiddles) and Sam Kelly (Percussion). Gary's own compositions have been described as beautifully ethereal and with his world-class band subtly melding the melodies to the lyrics, we promise you a stunning evening of acoustic wonderment! Rag Mama Rag

Rag Mama Rag

24 Nov 2025 - 24 Nov 2025

By popular demand, our November show features the return of the amazing country blues duo Rag Mama Rag! Ashley and Deborah Dow will treat us to a set of original and classic blues, ragtime and roots music played on a slew of different guitars, washboard, percussion and harmonicas! With 9 CDs under their belt and over thirty years on the road, this couple are the real deal. Don't miss a great evening!
Spikedrivers

Spikedrivers

15 Dec 2025 - 15 Dec 2025

Spikedrivers are old friends of the Club and one of the most original, innovative and exciting bands around. With their combination of gutsy slide guitar, rock-solid bass, infectious grooves and highly distinctive vocals, they create a sound that is uniquely their own. They will take you on a journey from southern juke-joints and lazy front porches to the huge open spaces of dust bowls and railroad tracks disappearing into the distance..... There's a bittersweet tinge to this show, as the band has announced that they are hanging up their hats at the end of this year, and this will be their ante-penultimate performance. Don't miss it! As it's our Christmas special there may also be the odd mince pie!
Erin Harpe

Erin Harpe

27 Oct 2025 - 27 Oct 2025

Erin Harpe has been playing country blues since she was a little girl, getting her chops from her dad, roots/blues musician Neil Harpe. In a career spanning more than twenty years she has won multiple awards and plays in two bands, Erin Harpe & the Delta Swingers and the electro-rock Lovewhip, but at the club she will play in her acoustic duo format with husband Jim Countryman. A virtuoso finger-picking guitarist, she delivers a set of old-style acoustic blues harking back to the bars and juke joints of the southern States.
