Get up and go with Richmondshire Orchestra's spring concert 'Go Forth...' Setting you on the path, the concert opens with Wagner's inspiring and bombastic 'Overture to Tannhauser'. 'Go Forth' features two of the great soprano roles by Richard Strauss and Mahler, performed by Jane Burnell. One of Yorkshire's finest sopranos, Jane joins us from Reisopera, Holland. Marvel at the serenity and pure emotion of Richard Strauss' 'Four Last Songs' one of the pinnacle roles for any soprano soloist. The concert closes with Mahler's 4th Symphony. It encapsulates the best of his style: precise orchestration, a sweeping full orchestra and a sublime solo soprano.
