Harking back to the roots of country rock and blues, with touches of Lynryd Skynrd, Allman Brothers, Little Feat and the ’70s sound of Cash, Young and Dylan, they appeal to the contemporary Blackberry Smoke and Jason Isbell fan bases. They are one of the hardest working bands around, touring and recording their songs of life’s trials and triumphs, in a traditional line up of acoustic and electric guitars, drums and bass.
Anne Gair - A Celebration Of Joni Mitchell
Anne has recently performed at the highly prestigious Celtic Connections in Scotland & is a very highly acclaimed artist She is accompanied by piano player Maria Quinn for this show. The show will feature songs from iconic album BLUE as well as other wonderful songs from Joni Mitchell as well as interspersed tracks from Anne herself Please check out everything about Anne just here & see her amazing credentials, we cant wait to welcome her & Maria to DH9s finest.. Anne is a singer songwriter from Scotland. Her music is a heady mix of genres with nods to contemporary folk, country, blues and jazz, with strong vocal melody lines and a penchant for harmony and open tunings. Anne has just played at The International Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow, released her debut single 'Steal Away' (Jan 25), her second single, 'Cigarettes and Smokescreens' (March 25) and most recently her third, 'White horses'. Her album predicted late 2025. She is endorsed by Cole Clark Guitars and G7th Capos. Anne trained as an actor at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. With an extensive performance history, Anne has toured throughout the UK both as a solo artist and lately with her ensemble, The Anne Gair Band. She has played at prestigious venues including The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall (Celtic Connections 2025), The 100 Club, The Rock Gardens, The Cavern Club, The Hard Rock Cafe, The Voodoo Rooms, and King Tut's Wah Wah Hut, and regularly performs to sold-out audiences in venues and theatres across the country.

Absolutely delighted to be able to announce that the incredible BON/DC are heading to The WR with their Bon Scott inspired AC/DC show The band are one of the most sought after AcDC bands in the UK & perform across the country headlining many an event & rock festival With stunning vocals by the incredible Patrick Mallon, who has fronted a few various UK bands, is phenomenal & has the early DC sound of Bon Scott to a T, its remarkable & along with the band, recreate the original song this iconic band started.. This gig however sees a DEBUT show in which the band is performing these incredible songs stripped back for a special White Room performance This is must see show to hear the songs of AC/DC performed this way, very exciting indeed. There'll still be a Whole Lotta classic tracks () and awesome sing a longs, amazing guitar playing, pounding bass & drums just performed a little bit stripped back & with an acoustic guitars

Amber Cox (Frida) also trained in musical theatre, before doing a Masters in Contemporary and Popular music. She has worked all over the UK as a vocalist and has a successful wedding singing company. Absolutely delighted to announce that the awesome Rob Heron is bringing a trio of his Tea Pad Orchestra along to The White Room Music Cafe as part of the Independent Venue Week (IVW) Line up for this show is:- ROB HERON (vocals, gtr) TOM CRONIN (mandolin, gtr, harmonica) TED HARBOT (dbl bass) Rob & his band are sensational & we welcome them here on Sat 31st January Limited capacity, intimate, up close gig In case you dont know what Rob does Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra have been gleefully trampling over genre boundaries for over a decade now, chucking Rockabilly, Blues, Country, Swing, Soul and more into their musical gumbo, but always sounding mostly just like themselves. Based in Newcastle but hailing from across the UK, the Tea Pad have released five albums, and toured widely across the British Isles and Europe, playing everywhere from Glastonbury and Cambridge Folk Festival to village halls and barns, and all points in between. Well-known for their energetic live shows, and dry humour, theyve toured with some of the big-name Americana outfits such as Pokey LaFarge, The Dead South, and Sierra Ferrell. They have released music on Sleazy Records (Spain) and Migraine Records (Germany), appeared multiple times on Radio 4s Loose Ends, and had their music played by everyone from Marc Riley to Huey Morgan. Their upcoming sixth album Feet First was recorded in just two days at Lightning Recorders in Berlin, Germany. The studio is well known for producing authentic analogue recordings, live in the room, and straight- to-tape. This capturing of a musical moment can really be heard in the new Tea Pad Orchestra record. The addition of Ben Powling on saxophone has also elevated the bands sound into a new and exciting era! After a decade of honing their craft, they have never sounded so good! Joining Rob Heron (vocals/guitar) are Tom Cronin (mandolin/harmonica/guitar), Ben Powling (saxophone/clarinet), Adam Richards (double bass/electric bass) and Paul Archibald (drums).

The outstanding MLB return to Stanleys finest to perform their wonderful music here in DH9 Mitch is an incredible blues guitarist & vocalist mixing traditional blues with funk, jazz, pop rock & soul together thus creating his own stunning sound Backed by a superbly tight rhythm section this trio are the real deal Recently completed a tour of Europe they head to Stanley as part of our Independent Venue Week in January Celebrating original music & artists is something we are proud to do here at The White Room & this band should be performing in huge arenas, I feel they are that good, really!! So to have them perform in a stripped down (ish) form here in the venue is amazing Up Close & personal is how music is at its best Support comes from the incredible talent of Remy CB & is just not to be missed!! Steve has had a very busy year including a recent tour of the UK performing all across the country entertaining many In my opinion Steve is without doubt one of the finest solo artists around & his previous shows at the white room have been absolute superb so its a pleasure to welcome him back. Hell make you smile, cry, laugh & sing a long but all in the same song, just fabulous. This is just Steve, his guitar & wonderful voice telling stories in his songs and is just not to be missed!! Not only do we have Steve we are joined by the quite excellent Sam Slatcher who will be opening proceedings Sam gas had recent success with his solo music & we are delighted to welcome him for a debut set. What a double bill of quite awesome music & the perfect finale to Independent Venue Week

Absolutely delighted & rather excited to host our first SKA night here at the white room Ladies & Gentleman i give you the mighty SKAPONES playing with a 6 piece stripped back set up here in DH9 Itll be a squeeze but itll be just brilliant Fronted by the awesome Paul Willow this incredible band have toured the UK, EUROPE & even the USA over the past few years & supported The Specials before the sad passing of the late great Terry Hall. With a number of albums under their belts the band will be showcasing many of these tracks and of course some great, iconic Ska classics made famous by The Specials.. Am I excited??
