The permanent exhibitions at the Design Museum feature more than 1000 items of 20th and 21st century designs, from architecture to engineering, as well as fashion and graphics. The themes of the Design Museum are viewed through the eyes of Designer, Maker, and User. The museum also hosts numerous talks and events, pop-up exhibitions and workshops throughout the year, as well as plenty of visiting exhibitions. The Design Museum is a five-minute walk along Kensington High Street; a ten-minute walk from Holland Park Station or Kensington Olympia Station; 25 minutes from Exhibition Road in South Kensington, or 10 minutes walk along North Earl's Court Road. The District and Circle lines take you near to the museum, as does the Piccadilly Line. Buses numbers 9, 10, 27, 28, 49 and C1 stop near the museum.
