The next Devon Board Game Weekend will take place from 3pm Friday 17th October 2025 until 3pm Sunday 19th October 2025 at The Fox and Hounds Country Hotel in Devon. Organised in conjunction with the great people at popular board game podcasts, Whose Turn Is It Anyway and Devon Dice, we have blocked out the entire hotel for the exclusive use of board game lovers to gather for a fun and informal weekend playing their favourite games. So come and sit by the fire, walk in the gardens by the River Taw, enjoy delicious food, relax and lose yourself in your favourite board games. The event is open to both guests staying at the hotel as well as day guests, staying or living locally. Weve settled on a maximum of 70 people for the event which seems to be the perfect number for a great atmosphere without overcrowding, with a roughly equal mix of the staying guests and day guests. Board games take place in the large, well-lit function room which has great acoustics according to players, with meals and relaxing in the bar and dining area. Tables and seating can be configured to suit the games and group size being played at the time. In addition to games and socialising, our bar and restaurant are available throughout the weekend . We always have a special Event Dinner with 5 course dinner, prepared by our amazing team of chefs, and accompanied by a challenging team super-quiz! Our Event Dinner can seat up to 45 and normally takes place on the Friday, and we have a Buffet Dinner for everyone who wants to attend on the Saturday night.
