Located at the heart of the University of Stirling, Macrobert Arts Centre is a cultural hub for Stirling, the Forth Valley and Scotland. Macrobert’s vision is to promote and develop participation in and enjoyment of the arts and they offer a huge variety of activities with over 400 live performances - comedy, dance, drama, family friendly, music, opera - art exhibitions, a range of opportunities for all ages to get involved and a year round cinema programme. Macrobert Arts Centre is also proud to be one of Creative Scotland's Regularly Funded Organisations, selected for our contribution to a creative Scotland in terms of talent, quality productions, access, audience development, participation and outreach work.

To celebrate the 900th anniversary since Stirling was founded as a Royal Burgh this exhibition features artwork and archival material from the University Archives and Art Collection which celebrate the history of the town and its cultural heritage.  Strivelin, Striveling, Strivelyn, Strewelin, Sterling, Sruighlea, Stirling is the annual exhibition from the Culture on Campus initiative, which is a collaborative project between the Art Collection, University Archives and the Macrobert Arts Centre to develop a creative environment where creative thinking and creative acts are at the heart of our identity as a place of learning.

Piaf Revisited is not a tribute show, but a fresh take on Christine Bovill's smash-hit Piaf. Known as "one of Europe's finest interpreters of French song," Bovill shares her journey from a young Glasgow girl, initially indifferent to French, to discovering Piaf’s Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien. This self-penned work intertwines her personal story with Piaf’s, exploring passion, pain, and those unforgettable songs. An award-winning songwriter, Bovill has toured Europe and the Far East, appeared on BBC Newsnight, and collaborated with Piaf’s great friend, Charles Dumont. Her work has been featured in film and TV. Piaf Revisited was a sell-out at the Edinburgh Fringe and has become “the stuff of Fringe legend” (BroadwayBaby.com), capturing the essence of Piaf's emotional journey.

Mairi Campbell: Living Stone is the Fringe First winning solo show created with director/devisor Kath Burlinson and co-composer Dave Gray. The journey begins with the discovery of the ancient mill stone on Mairi’s great-grandmother’s croft on the isle of Lismore. Mairi explores the stone’s stories and mysteries, the images she finds within it and some of the 100 drawings she made of it. Living Stone is a distinctive blend of live music, song and viola as well as striking visual art which creates a rich, multi-sensory experience highlighting the mystery and beauty of everyday life.

The Summer 2025 Term of M: YT Juniors will run from 7pm - 8.30pm Wednesdays for 9 weeks, from Wednesday 30th April to Wednesday 25th June. This class is being held at the Macrobert Arts Centre.
