The 28 date tour will travel across the UK, culminating at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on 11 May for their final performance and their last dance. Following an invitation from the Mayor of Sarajevo to visit the city to mark the 40th anniversary of the Winter Olympics, Torvill & Dean were there four decades on reliving the memories of their iconic heart-stopping performance which had a UK television audience of 24 million people on the edge of their seats. It became one of the greatest sporting moments of the 20th Century and set a new standard for world-class figure skating. ‘Torvill & Dean: Our Last Dance’ UK Tour will be the last time that Jayne and Chris will perform on ice together, 50 years since they formed their incredible skating partnership, giving audiences one last chance to see and celebrate the iconic duo. British girl group responsible for many of the most successful pop hits of the 00s The Sugababes truly went on a unique journey as a group, with the entire original line-up being replaced one by one, only to reform over a decade later and release new music. Their impact on pop – and especially female-fronted pop acts – has been recognised time and time again, and they are among a select group of British acts that have had all their albums reach the top 15. The original line-up didn’t reunite until 2012, when they re-entered the recording studio to work on new music. Single ‘Flatline’ came in 2013, released under the name Mutya Keisha Siobhan as the ‘Sugababes’ name was still in use. The group did eventually reclaim the name in 2015 and re-released ‘Flatline’ as the Sugababes in 2022. They embarked on The Sacred Three tour in 2016, playing a string of dates around the UK. In 2021, the group released a 20th-anniversary edition of One Touch.

Things get ruff when Mayor Humdinger wants to find the treasure first for Foggy Bottom. The pups need all paws on deck for this pirate adventure, including help from the newest pup who’s all ears…Tracker! Using their heroic rescue skills, problem solving and teamwork, the pups set sail to save the day. No job is too big, no pirate pup is too small.

In previous years Comic Con North East has been proud to host the likes of Nick Frost, James Marsters, Mara Wilson, and Simon Bird. We’re all a fan of something, and Comic Con North East is the best place to celebrate all things pop culture. As well as having the chance to meet your heroes, and get an item signed or a photo, many guests will also appear live on stage so you’ll get to hear directly about their new projects and previous roles. Outside of the celebrities, you can get your picture taken with some of our unique props and set builds; watch the fabulous cosplayers strut their stuff on stage (or join them); test your skills in our retro and modern gaming areas; or browse through the unique gifts in our trader and artist areas with a large show floor for the perfect shopping experience for everyone in our community. The shared fandoms and sense of community are central to everything we do. Fans from all over the North East come together every year to share their love of comics, fantasy, sci-fi, gaming, horror, and cosplay. To find and bond with like-minded individuals who share their interests. We’ll continue to grow and evolve this event as a place where you can celebrate your community fandoms, discover new ones and most of all have fun!

Born in Bedford but based in London, singer-songwriter Tom Grennan first found fame as the guest vocalist on Chase & Status’s track “All Goes Wrong”. A Hottest Record on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 Show, the track gave Grennan the chance to cut his teeth in the Radio 1 Live Lounge and on BBC Two’s Later… with Jools Holland. But it might not have turned out that way. As a teenager, he had a promising football career, playing for Luton Town, Northampton Town, Aston Villa and Stevenage. Tom’s first album Lighting Matches was one of the 10 best-selling debuts of 2018. Filled with huge tunes like “Found What I’ve Been Looking For”, “Barbed Wire” and “Something In The Water”, the album showcased Tom’s emotional, careworn voice, a rasp full of devilment and mischief as well as love and solace.

Madness’s earliest days were as ska band The Invaders, formed in 1976 by Lee Thompson, Mike Barson and Chris Foreman. With the addition of Graham McPherson (aka Suggs), Mark Bedford, Dan Woodgate and Chas Smith, the band changed their name to Morris And The Minors before finally settling on Madness in 1978.

After arriving home from university and having nothing much to do, his mum came across a flyer for drum lessons. The teacher turned out to be drummer Chris “Woody” Wood who agreed to join Smith at some gigs. The pair soon decided to bring keyboardist Kyle Simmons and bassist Will Farquarson on board. Their name came from Bastille Day, which not only marks the start of the French Revolution but also happens to be Smith’s birthday.
