Trafalgar Theatre
Trafalgar Studios used to be Whitehall Theatre, until owners Ambassador Theatre Group reinvented it. The two studios now present short runs of classic drama and quirky musicals from companies such as the RSC and Donmar Warehouse, enabling West End theatregoers to see shows that other theatres normally wouldn't risk taking on for open-ended runs. The handsome 1930 Art Deco building on Whitehall, just off Trafalgar Square, has been praised as one of the best-preserved of its kind. The Studio Bar offers cocktails.
The nearest Tube stations are Charing Cross (Northern, Bakerloo) and Embankment (City, District, Northern, Bakerloo). The theatre is served by bus routes 3, 11, 12, 24, 53, 77a, 88, 91, 139, 159 and 453.
