Pleasance Theatre

The Pleasance Theatre has a distinguished history as a fringe theatre in London since it opened its doors in 1995. It is run as part of the Pleasance charity. It includes a main auditorium, and upstairs bar, and downstairs, in 2018, a studio space was added. Also on the ground floor is The Depot bar and kitchen. The Pleasance has focused on new writing and provided a launch pad for may memorable productions and renowned practitioners and provided a platform for the talent of the future. Pleasance Islington has hosted some of the biggest names in comedy including Michael McIntyre, Russell Brand, Micky Flanagan, Mark Watson, Adam Hills and Mark Thomas. Getting to the Pleasance: By Bus: We are well served by buses and several pass within easy walking distance of the theatre: 259, 17, 91, 274, 153, 393, N91. For more details on bus services to the theatre please visit the Transport for London website. By Tube: Caledonian Road station (Piccadilly Line, Zone 2) is an easy 5 minute walk from the theatre and Holloway Road Station a 15 minute walk. Caledonian Road station has lift access to street level. By Train: Caledonian Road and Barnsbury overground station: the theatre is a 10 minute walk north up Caledonian Road from the station. By Car: Metered parking is available on North Road and free parking is available in the evenings and on weekends.
