Grimsby Central Hall is an arts and community center located in Duncombe Street, Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire. The venue offers a main auditorium with superb acoustics and a seating capacity of 700 plus a 170-seat recital hall.
The Central Hall has been the beating heart of the local music community, offering a surprising diversity of entertainment, for 75 years. World famous orchestras, international jazz legends, heavy metal rock bands and chart topping pop stars have all performed at this iconic venue. It is also the spiritual home for many of the areas choirs and music societies.
Apart from concert performances, the Central Hall is a hubbub of activity 7-days a week playing host to a wide range of local clubs and societies. And tucked away within the building is the historic Fisherman’s and Seaman’s Memorial Chapel reflecting Grimsby’s proud maritime heritage.
Grimsby Central Hall is available to hire for concerts, conferences, business meetings or social gatherings and can accommodate 7 to 700 people.

Grimsby Central Hall is a not for profit registered charity incorporated as a limited company. The charity is managed by 9 local trustees who freely donate their time and expertise, supported by a small team of part-time staff and a nucleus of volunteers.
First opened in 1936, Grimsby Central Hall is the oldest surviving continuous concert venue in North East Lincolnshire. For many, remains undiscovered. Step through the entrance in Duncombe Street and enter into the deceptively large venue, with not one, but two halls, used for events, arts and sports classes, and also serveral conference and meeting rooms. Grimsby Central Hall is also more than just a popular concert venue, it is a hub of the Grimsby community, and hosts a variety of weekly clubs and societies, as well as being a venue for training courses and conferences.
An independent non-profit making charitable trust, we are committed to keeping this iconic building alive, while catering for its future in the modern world. We offer variety and diverse entertainment, spanning all genres, from Pop and Rock, to Soul and Jazz, for music, and live theatre productions. We also will be offering DJ nights, and themed events. An iconic building in the center of town, we aim to modernize the running of the hall, but still keep its heritage charm, and original features.
