The Doors Alive

Tribute to Jim Morrison's seminal LA rock crew. Expect renditions of classic hits such as 'Light My Fire', 'When the Music's Over' and 'Riders on the Storm'. The band recreate the sounds of the 60s using the same instruments that the Doors used in their heyday, including a Gibson G101, the Fender Rhodes Bass and a vintage Gibson S.G Guitar.

Fronting the band is the outstanding Howie G (who you may recognise from his years with The classic rock Show) Behind him the line-up features top-class and experienced musicians that make this band a worthy tribute to Dire Straits. Howie and all the band have studied Dire Straits in great depth to re-create their tribute to be as close as possible to the real thing and a respectful tribute to their idol and guitar legend.

The Wedding Present

Motörheadache

We are please to welcome Motorheadache who are a top class and authentic tribute to the late, great Lemmy Kilmister and his band, Motörhead. Motörheadache is a three piece tribute to Lemmy's musical career with Motörhead from 1975 to 2015. Set up by lifelong Motörhead fan Rob Campbell on Rickenbacker bass and vocals, Rob captures the essence of Lemmy in voice, stage clothes and his grinding mid-range bass sound. As Lemmy Kidderminster, Rob plays a custom built Rickenbastard made my Lemmy's own luthier, which is fitted with the pickups and tuners removed from Lemmy's own Rickenbastard when it was serviced. Rob also has a custom Lemmy 'Murder One' Marshall Super Bass wired to the same specification as Lemmy's and two Marshall 4x15 cabs with 4x12 cabs either side of the stage. The line-up also features Al Leach on guitar and 'Dirty' Dave Nutter on drums with some 'dep' drummers and guitarists to help out with the busy touring schedule. Motörheadache toured the UK extensively in 2016 and embarked on its new UK & European tour on 21st January 2017 with over 60 dates in the diary including large summer festivals such as Hard Rock Hell Road Trip 2017 in Ibiza, Rocker's Reunited Lindos 2017 Festival in Greece and various biker rallys such as Pentrich Rock and Blues, Yorkshire Rock and Bike Festival and Festwich in Manchester. After some showcase gigs in O2 Academy venues in Glasgow, Newcastle and London later in the year as part of the band's The Curse Still Rings True tour, in January 2018 Motörheadache will headline at the Lemmy Dutch Memorial concert in Amsterdam The main body of the Motörheadache's set list comprises a large number of songs from Motörhead's Fast Eddie Clarke era, regarded by many Motörheadbangers as the classic era from 1975 to 1982. Songs include Ace of Spades, Bomber, Overkill, Iron Fist, The Hammer, Damage Case and the thunderous Motörhead - the last song Lemmy wrote for Hawkwind and the one that gave his new band its name. Motörheadache also play material written by Motörhead from 1983 through to 2015. From Brian Robertson's short stint in1983, to the re-launch in 1984 of Motörhead as a four piece with Wurzel and Phil Campbell on guitars and finally, the longstanding Lemmy, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee era from 1995 to 2015. Songs from this period include Killed by Death, In the Name of Tragedy, Sacrifice, Ramones and Burner. Motörheadache also performs Victory or Die from Motörhead's last studio outing, Bad Magic a song that Lemmy and Motörhead never got the chance to play live in the UK with the cancellation of Motörhead's 2016 UK tour. Motörheadache is proud to help keep alive the music of Motörhead by playing gigs all over the UK and Europe and invites Motörhead fans to celebrate the life and work of a rock icon and legend, Mr Lemmy Kilmister.

Fronted by Buster Bloodvessel (born Douglas Trendle), the band was formed in 1976 while the members were at school together, and among their early incarnations were known as Stoop Solo and the Sheet Starchers. None of the members had any formal musical training, not even the ability to play any instruments. They were popular during the late 1970s and early 1980s, a period when lots of similar ska bands filled the charts. Some of their hits include 'My Girl Lollipop', 'Lip Up Fatty', 'Special Brew' and 'Ne-Ne-Na-Na-Na-Na-Nu-Nu'. One of the main reasons for their notoriety was because of their outlandish, larger-than-life, huge-tongued & shaven-headed front man. Buster´s exploits got them banned from the British TV chart show Top of the Pops (which included dressing as Henry VIII and singing to a blow-up doll for the song 'Lorraine', pouring a large can of baked beans over his head, and dressing in a can-can dancer´s dress to promote their single 'Can-Can').

Originally formed in 1992 from the ashes of The La’s and Shack, Cast released four albums and had ten top 10 singles before disbanding in 2001. As one of the most traditional guitar bands to emerge during the Brit-pop era of the mid-'90s, Cast have carved out a sound that was heavily indebted to the British Invasion of the early '60s, yet it was infused with a mystical, pseudo-hippie lyrical sensibility, which lead singer John Power expanded upon in all of his interviews. What really made Cast into a success was Power's gift for simple, classic pop hooks, as demonstrated on the hit singles "Fine Time," "Alright," and "Walkaway." Cast became a very, very popular band within Britain following the success of Oasis and Blur. Labelled ‘The Who of the 90’s’, Noel Gallagher once described watching Cast play live as “a religious experience.”

Massive Wagons

Hard rockers Massive Wagons formed in 2009 in their hometown of Carnforth, England with vocalist Barry Mills and guitarist Adam Thistlethwaite who were at the time on the local live circuit as part of indie rock band Ace Face (though with Mills on bass guitar). The duo decided to strike out with their own music of a harder hitting variety, with the stage show to match. The decision was influenced by the resurging popularity of hard rock acts of the time, primarily Airbourne and Black Stone Cherry and the duos lifelong affinity for classic rock acts such as UFO, Rainbow and Slade. Adams brother Alex was recruited on drums and old school buddy Adam Bouskill joined on bass, freeing Mills to focus on the role of frontman, the line-up was completed by Carl Cochrane on rhythm guitar. For a while the 5 piece was nameless until they jokingly adopted the nickname of a local barmaid for their first gig, only for the name to stick and become their official moniker.

Famous hits like Fools Gold, I Am The Resurrection and I Wanna Be Adored are as recognisable now as were the heyday of Madchester and the Hacienda, the cultural icons from which the original band were born. The Completes, as they are affectionately referenced to by their fans, play to acclaim both from fans themselves, the press, and even original Stone Roses band members. Former Stone Roses bass player Mani, has not only just appeared as a warm up DJ for the band on the odd occasion but has also played onstage with them as their guest bassist playing She Bangs The Drums on more than a few times when he was touring about with the band. The Skids formed in 1977 in their home town of Dunfermline, Scotland by Richard Jobson, Stuart Adamson, Bill Simpson & Tom Kellichan. After releasing an independent single the band were played by John Peel, supported The Clash in concert and then were signed to Virgin Records in 1978. Their first singles were ‘Sweet Surburbia’, ‘The Saints are Coming’ and ‘Into the Valley’ - the latter reaching the UK Top Ten in early 1979. Their seminal debut album ‘Scared to Dance’; came out in 1979 and was quickly followed by two chart singles – ‘Masquerade’ and ‘Working for the Yankee Dollar’. Both singles were taken from the Bill Nelson (Be Bop Deluxe) produced second album ‘Days in Europa’. The album also featured new member Rusty Egan of Rich Kids & Visage fame after the departure of Tom Kellichan. The band released two more albums ‘The Absolute Game’ (1980) and ‘Joy’ (1981) before splitting. Stuart Adamson went on to have worldwide success with his new band Big Country. The Skids were at the heart of the punk scene in Scotland and took their music to London where they were signed by Virgin records. They made 4 albums and had numerous hit singles including Into the Valley, The Saints are Coming, Masquerade and Working for the Yankee Dollar. The most recent Skids lineup includes Richard Jobson, Martin Metcalfe and Fin Wilson (Goodbye Mr Mackenzie), Nick Hernandez and Connor Whyte.

Led by front man and songwriter Richard Butler, the Furs won over fans and critics alike by combining poetic lyrics, innovative rhythms and melodies driven by an aggressive, punk desperation. Through it all, the band scored major hits with 'Love My Way', Pretty In Pink', 'Heaven', 'The Ghost In You' and 'Heartbreak Beat' in all releasing seven studio albums and spawning several compilations, a boxed set, and a live concert DVD. The Psychedelic Furs came together in England's emerging punk scene in 1977 initially consisting of Richard Butler (vocals), Tim Butler (bass guitar), Paul Wilson (drums), Duncan Kilburn (saxophone), and Roger Morris (guitars). By 1979, this line up had expanded to a sextet with Vince Ely replacing Wilson on drums and John Ashton being added on guitar. These days, the band continues to tour around the world. They say that good things come to those who wait. A little over two years after their launch, you could say that Cardinal Black are testament to the power of patience, thought and persistence. A debut iTunes #1 single and E.P.; a first gig to a hometown capacity crowd at Cardiff Castle; back-to-back sold out Academy tours with Myles Kennedy, then The Struts; a standing ovation at a Sold Out Royal Albert Hall supporting Peter Frampton; a live set recording in the Beatles’ legendary Studio Two at Abbey Road in London and a debut album that, within 24 hours of its release, had toppled both Taylor Swift and the Beatles from the top of Amazon UK’s album chart. An eventful first 2 years for any band. It takes years, so the saying goes, to become an overnight success... Rewind to 2010 and the Welsh-born trio of Tom Hollister, Chris Buck and Adam Roberts were riding a wave of hype, hotly-tipped by some of the biggest names in rock - most notably Steve Winwood who invited the band to record at his storied Wincraft Studios. A triumphant live set at Sonisphere was followed by a flight across the Atlantic to begin work on their first record, with veteran manager Alan Niven (Guns N’ Roses) at the helm. The lure of the U.S. proved irresistible to the nascent trio but, as is often the case, expectation rarely mirrors reality and the band struggled to adapt to the new country, culminating in singer Tom Hollister unexpectedly calling time on the band before returning to the U.K. “We tried to do the acrimonious split; creative differences and all that. We then quickly realised we were fairly reliant on one another,” says Buck. In the decade that followed, the lifelong friends cut their own individual paths whilst remaining close. Most notable has been the well-earned rise of guitarist Chris Buck, named in 2019 as ‘Best New Guitarist in the World’, who has forged a reputation as one of the most inventive and recognisable guitar players in music; winning plaudits from peers and the industry’s most iconic players alike. Drummer Adam Roberts found work as a first-call session player, whilst vocalist Tom Hollister moved into tour management - the three maintaining their musical connection by sporadically meeting up to perform together. It was just a matter of time then, before they were ready to make new music again. The writing and recording of new material began in 2020, under the name Cardinal Black, bolstered by the arrival of bassist Sam Williams. Fast forward to 2023 and the band embarked on an extensive European headline tour, culminating in an Americana Music Awards (UK) nomination for Artist of the Year. They may have taken the scenic route but Cardinal Black are finally here, and they've got plenty of stories to tell...

Nekrogoblikon

The self-proclaimed "Kings of Goblin Metal," Los Angeles, California's Nekrogoblikon are melodic hard rock pranksters who deploy gnarly death metal earworms filled with crafty hooks, claw-pumping choruses, lightning-fast riffs, and over the top, EDM-style keyboard flourishes. With their ostentatious goblin hypeman John Goblikon, the band takes cues from hyperbolic horror-metal enthusiasts like GWAR, Finntroll, and Dethklok, while maintaining an affable, self-referential sense of humor. The group's early outings, like 2007's Goblin Island, were largely low-fidelity affairs, but by the early 2010s Nekrogoblikon were operating at a far higher technical level, and employing a rotating cast of talented players. Founded in 2006 by Nicky Calonne(vocals, keyboards) and Tim Lyakhovetskiy (guitar), the duo self-produced their debut album, the relatively lo-fi Goblin Island, in Lyakhovetskiy's basement. The LP was released in 2007, and an expanded lineup was quickly assembled to help flesh out the fledgling group's audacious live shows. The more technically proficient Stench arrived in 2011, and included the single "No One Survives" -- the video became a viral hit. The Power EP was issued the following year, and in 2014 the band joined Limp Bizkit, Crossfaith, and HECK on the Kerrang! Tour. In 2015 they released the concept LP Heavy Meta via their own Mystery Box label, and in 2018 Nekrogoblikon issued their fourth studio long-player, Welcome to Bonkers.
