Bishop Grosseteste University

The Venue is a great place to enjoy the best in entertainment. Set in the heart of uphill Lincoln, just 10 minutes walk from the historic Bailgate, the Venue nestles on the campus of Bishop Grosseteste University. For cinema enthusiasts, we show a wide variety of films at affordable prices. Screenings range from the latest blockbusters to some silver screen selections, special student screenings and some great arthouse films. We also run our Family Film Club on a Saturday, where you can come along and watch a popular family movie for only £2.50 a ticket! (Further information can be found on our website). Lincoln Film Society, who use the Venue as their base also present a varied programme of films -- please visit their website for more information about the society and their screenings. There’s also a chance to see some great opera and theatre beamed directly to us by satellite. For theatre goers, you can catch the latest productions from a variety of local organisations and student societies. With productions such as Blood Brothers, Bugsy Malone and The Lion King in previous months, it is always worth watching out for any theatre performances coming up.

We are the local community choir with the national reputation - join the Lincoln Rock Choir and experience the singing phenomenon that Will Smith described as 'Fantastic'. Whilst retaining our community spirit, we come together en masse for national and regional events, giving our members unrivalled performance opportunities and experiences beyond compare, ranging from trips to perform at Eurodisney to our local Lincolnshire music, food and fireworks festivals!
