A racetrack since 1924, which slowly came to form as racing enthusiast Alfred Day bought up land in the Fontwell area over a period of more than 20 years. With nearly 100 years of racing history under its belt, Fontwell Park Racecourse has been voted the Best Small Racecourse in the South East 19 years in a row. Now owned by Andy Kerman, the complex includes a 90 box stable yard and a 40 bedroom hotel, with 20 race meetings held each year.
