As the play develops, two critics who have come to comment on the play, get drawn in and both men find themselves embroiled in events on stage, as they trade places with the mysterious Simon and the even more mysterious, not to say eccentric, Inspector Hound if that indeed is who he is!

"Chopped Liver & Unions" is a theatrical production that highlights the life and struggles of Sara Wesker, a significant yet often overlooked figure in the labor movement of the early 20th century. The play combines music and narrative to depict Wesker's activism, particularly her role in leading the "singing strikers" of 1928, who protested for better working conditions and equal pay for women in the East End of London.
