The band, formed in 1993, had an impressive run of hit singles throughout the late 90's/early 00's, including ’Bluetonic’, ‘Slight Return’, ‘Marblehead Johnson’, ‘Solomon Bites The Worm’, ‘If’ and ‘Keep the Fires Burning’. They scored thirteen Top 40 singles and three Top 10 albums in the UK charts before splitting up in 2011. Devoted to recreating the atmosphere of a live Joy Division gig, Transmission emulate the sound of one of the most inventive, evocative and influential groups of their era. Joy Division were formed in the late 1970s and dissolved in 1980 after the suicide of lead singer Ian Curtis. The remaining members went on to form New Order and have achieved much critical and commercial success. The influence of Joy Division, however, was far reaching. They were considered the pioneering band of the post-punk movement of the late 1970s and early 1980s. Since winning Acoustic magazine's 2010 Singer Songwriter of the year, nu / anti-folk artist Gaz Brookfield has spent his time on the road, touring the UK and Europe. He has shared the stage with the likes of Levellers, Seth Lakeman, Frank Turner, New Model Army, Nick Harper, Newton Faulkner, Miles Hunt, and many more. His songs are instantly accessible, everyman tales of life, love and everything else in between. He has so far released four albums the latest being 2016's "I Know My Place".

Fat Dog’s particular brand of chaos seems a fine antidote to the remains of pent-up lockdown frustration. The collective scream has found a mouth; the potential energy has been activated. Coming from the deep south, it was inevitable, but living in the deep south of a major Yorkshire City, there’s a gritty hard edge to life! ​ A female guitar prodigy, Chantel was told by a major label that she had a "great voice, but girls don't play guitar like that!" Wisely ignoring their comments, she enrolled at the Leeds College of Music and became the first student in the college’s history, to achieve a 100% pass mark at BTEC, with 18 distinctions. Chantel then pursued further education and left with a First Class Honours degree in Popular Music and a coveted prize, the college’s musician of the year award. ​ Chantel released her highly anticipated second album, Lose Control, in October 2015 on her independent boutique label Tis Rock Music, this being the follow up to her critically acclaimed 2011 debut album, Like No Other.

Jon Gomm, based in Leeds, West Yorkshire in the UK, is an acoustic singer-songwriter with a revolutionary virtuoso guitar style, where he uses one acoustic guitar to create drum sounds, basslines and twisting melodies all at the same time. The emphasis is still on the soulful vocals and songwriting, and his original material is influenced by everything from Robert Johnson to Radiohead. His live shows combine deeply personal performances and a natural wit, with a once seen, never forgotten two-handed guitar style, both physical and complex, producing sounds people can barely believe are coming from a humble acoustic guitar. Jon first laid his hands on a guitar at the age of two (actually it was a ukulele - his parents couldn't find a guitar small enough). He wrote his first song at the age of six, and was soon accompanying his father, a music critic, to gigs in his hometown of Blackpool. Touring musicians would often stay at the Gomm household on the understanding Jon would get a guitar lesson, meaning he had one-to-one instruction from such blues legends as BB King and Jack Bruce of Cream. Nowadays, Jon tours worldwide. In January 2012 his song Passionflower went viral online, with the video passing 6 million hits, resulting in national TV appearances in the UK, Portugal, Holland, Brazil and Turkey.

Pentire are an indie band who make pop songs for the post-jangle generation through the smiles and sweat of the mosh pit. This Herefordshire four-piece tell cheap lager-soaked stories of student life, a small-town upbringing, and the innocence of youth. Brought up on a diet of The Killers, Paolo Nutini and Stereophonics, frontman and principal songwriter Jack formed a band with his best mate Owen in the sleepy town of Ross-on-Wye. The two friends met drummer Jake and bass player Jacob whilst at university, which cemented the four-piece that is now selling out venues across the UK.

The Velvet Sheep is thrilled to announce the much anticipated return of acclaimed UK symphonic rock band 'Winter In Eden', with a show at The Fulford Arms in York.
