Mark is from a musical family. His Mum has been playing piano for over 70 years! Over to Mark: I started piano aged 7 and had really valuable classical rudiments that are useful to this day. At primary school I started on acoustic guitar and quickly moved to bass guitar. My brother plays drums and as teenagers we both really loved the jazz funk band Level 42 before discovering they are mostly from the Isle of Wight where our maternal side originated too! During lockdown I started recording and created 25 albums all influenced by Stanley Clarke (a famous stateside bassist) and Level 42. Ive played in church groups all my life and my first public theatre show was in 1984 in a jazz group with my Mum, brother and myself on electric bass! with lots of jazz standards! I really hope you will enjoy the concert! We regret there is no step free access to the auditorium
