After a two-year run across the UK, with performances in Manchester, Brighton, London, Birmingham, and Scotland, this groundbreaking production first debuted in 2017 at London's Cockpit Theatre, marking a bold step in diabetes awareness through theatre. Jonsels story is anything but ordinary. As a former professional footballer, popstar, and actor, he has faced ignorance and misunderstanding about his condition at every turn. The show uses humor, honesty, and personal anecdotes to break down the stereotypes and misconceptions that still surround diabetes today. With a unique blend of comedy and truth, Keep Calm I'm Only Diabetic challenges the audience to rethink their views on chronic illness and health stigma. Beyond the stage, Jonsel has made a significant impact in the fight for Type 1 Diabetes awareness. He has written and starred in the award-winning film HYPO, which explores his life as a footballer managing diabetes, and has authored books aimed at empowering those living with the condition. Keep Calm I'm Only Diabetic is a vital voice in the conversation about diabetes, offering both entertainment and education while challenging societal ignorance with every laugh. This production contains bad language and adult themes and is not suitable for under 16's.
