They scored thirteen Top 40 singles and three Top 10 albums in the UK charts before splitting up in 2011. The Orb virtually invented the electronic genre known as ambient house, resurrecting slower, more soulful rhythms and providing a soundtrack for early-morning ravers once the clubs closed their doors. Founded in 1988 by Alex Paterson and The KLF member Jimmy Cauty, membership of The Orb has been fluid over the years, with Paterson remaining the only constant throughout. The Orb released their fifteenth studio album, ‘No Sounds Are Out of Bounds’, in 2018 via Cooking Vinyl. These fifteen albums plus EPs, singles, compilations and live recordings have influenced countless other musicians along the way.

With a more traditional offline approach towards learning their craft and perfecting the High Fade sound, Harry Valentino (guitar/vocals), Oliver Sentance (bass) and Calvin Davidson (drums) developed their infectious style whilst feeding off the unpredictable crowd interactions that come with street shows and busking.

Known for classics like “Guns don’t kill people rappers do”, The GLC started almost by accident around the turn of the century with Eggsy’s impromptu rap about his tracksuit over a serious piece of music Rhys was working on in the studio. Adam Hussain, Billy Webb, Mystkal, the Maggot, 2hats and Mike Balls convinced Rhys to record the rap. Fuelled by Lambrini, fags, Chicken Tikka Massala and weed they all took to the mic and The GLC’s first album “Don’t Blame the Chain” was born. Canned Pineapple is a 5-piece scuzz-pop and slacker rock group based in Brighton. The quintet consists of the songwriting partnership of Seán Drury and Oakley Gardiner alongside multi-instrumentalist and recording engineer Jude Allenby, guitarchitect visionary Gabe Rice and master of the rhythm stick Charlie Pringle A band of brothers waggin out. Canned Pineapple is the result of interplanetary telekinesis between the great beyond and the great norm. In 2023, they've had the honour of supporting renowned acts like The Wedding Present, The Love Buzz, Blood Red Shoes, Cardinals and Arxx along with a summer marked by three successful self-organized tours, selling out headline performances across the UK and Ireland. Welly is an extraordinary character with a remarkable literary way of describing himself, his band and society. A square peg in the round hole of suburban life, Welly embraced his difference from an early age and went onto channel his observations on suburbia into songs. Whip-smart, playful, funny and terrifyingly smart pop songs to be precise. He then set about finding the perfect vehicle to pedal his wares and so formed a band and delivered a debut album bursting with democratised pop music for people that feel fun in the charts stopped at Love Machine by Girls Aloud.

Formed in 2019 as a 'jam band', Welsh six-piece Church Village Collective (or CVC for short) took their title from their hometown of the same name, a large village 10 miles out of Cardiff. At the time of writing they have just two singles released, but have already wooed early gig goers with their cheeky furore and big band energy, their set at 2022's The Great Escape was by all accounts, a packed affair. ​CVC 'specialise in fat riffs, lush three part harmonies, and tight beats, all tied together with outfits you could expect to see at the launch party for Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.' On debut EP Real to Reel, unity bleeds through songs that are awash with authenticity, fronted by a slick 'band of brothers' on a devout mission to have a good time and take us all along for the ride. Not just a love letter to rock music's yesteryear, evident here is a clear collective passion for and devotion to making music with your best friends. Contagious? You bet. Pentire are an indie band who make pop songs for the post-jangle generation through the smiles and sweat of the mosh pit. This Herefordshire four-piece tell cheap lager-soaked stories of student life, a small-town upbringing, and the innocence of youth. Brought up on a diet of The Killers, Paolo Nutini and Stereophonics, frontman and principal songwriter Jack formed a band with his best mate Owen in the sleepy town of Ross-on-Wye. The two friends met drummer Jake and bass player Jacob whilst at university, which cemented the four-piece that is now selling out venues across the UK.

Black Bordello is a five-piece art-rock project from Peckham, London.

Emerging from the same art/design cauldron that produced fellow Leeds legends Soft Cell, Scritti Politti, and The Mekons, CUD were the pre-Britpop answer to doleful shoegazing bands fun-loving, light-hearted, romantic and downright catchy. Alternatively loved or loathed like a yeast extract, CUD are indie rock for the unpretentious pleasure seeker, boasting as they do the rich deep-lunged voice of Carl Puttnam, edgy guitars of Mike Dunphy and tight, funky rhythm section of William Potter, bass and Gogs Byrn, drums. CUD were initially lauded for their quirky Peel session cover of You Sexy Thing in 1987. They soon built up a huge live following and buffed up their repertoire with a string of unstraight pop beauties, best exemplified by the 1990 album Leggy Mambo. This led to a major-label deal with A&M in 1991, front-page NME coverage, massive sellout gigs and proper Top 30 hits, Rich and Strange and Purple Love Balloon. Misunderstood by record companies and press, CUD packed away their guitars and sticks in 1995 but, bolstered by a greatest hits anthology (Rich and Strange) in 2006, they agreed to tread the boards again, with a further reunion following in 2012 (now with original guitarist and key songwriter Mike Dunphy) and continue to find an army of Space CUDets still eager to sing along, dance like fruitcakes and invade their stage.

Impossible to tie down and with enough energy to power a small city, their songs drag you through punk, two-tone, rock, hip-hop, reggae, drum & bass, dub, metal and more. Renowned for their energetic live shows, they have amassed a loyal following over the years. Since 2011, Popes have released 3 well-received albums, 2 EPs, toured the UK with US legends Fishbone, Voodoo Glow Skulls & The Slackers as well as doing extensive headline touring of their own across the UK & Europe.

Snake Eyes’ distinguishable sound is supercharged, having already mastered the fiery choruses, grungy riffs and catchy hollering Britpop sensibilities. aptly coined by the band as ‘grit pop’. alongside mostly upbeat music, Heffy’s lyrics hold the meaning of being kind and the freedom to express yourself no matter who you are. Snake Eyes’ main goal is to forge a bond with like-minded people that find comfort and joy in their songs. we have only just scratched the surface with what the Brighton trio are capable of and they are looking to grow their reputation as a phenomenal live act to match the energy of their records and spread the word of grit pop everywhere.

Second time in Blackpool, this time with Retroview!

Wax-Tree-Cast: Indie-pop duo from Halifax, West Yorkshire. Formed in mid-2020, the band consists of lead vocalist and bassist Oolagh Hodgson and songwriter Blair Murray on lead guitar. Blair is a former member of Manchester band Twisted Wheel and has also worked with Nile Marr and Johnny Marr on Niles band Man Made. They have been causing a stir on the scene since their inception in lockdown. The band have also just signed a publishing deal with Blue Raincoat Music/Chrysalis Records. Championed by Huw Stephens, Steve Lamacq and also Chris Hawkins on BBC 6 Music - who said he really fell for the band after seeing them play live. Wax-Tree-Cast have also seen fierce support from John Kennedys X-Posure show on Radio X. Kennedy has supported all five single releases and recently invited the band into his studio for an intimate interview and live set. Last year they played at Kendal Calling, Liverpool Sound City and toured the U.K. including headlining and selling out Hebden Bridges Trades Club and many more. This year they have gone further, supporting the likes of Baby Strange, Tess Parks, Tim Burgess (The Charlatans), The Hold Steady and recently toured with Steve Mason.

Gwenno Saunders is a music producer, DJ, radio presenter, musician and singer from Cardiff. She is a native Welsh and Cornish speaker and it is this, along with co-producing and co-hosting Welsh language show Cam O'r Tywyllwch (A Step Away From The Darkness) with Peski for Radio Cardiff and more recently, Resonance FM, that has led her to create music that translates her Internationalist influences into layered, home-fi keyboard sounds wrapped in echoed vocals and musique concrète-inspired beats.

Battlesnake is an Australian 7-piece metal band that have emerged from the depths of the underworld. With a powerful sound that can only be described as the genetically engineered cyborg super child of Queen, King Gizzard and Judas Priest, the band has quickly gained a reputation for their high-impact live performances and epic, theatrical songwriting. Mortals tremble, all hail Battlesnake! Battlesnake released their debut EP in 2020. A powerful 6 track release titled ‘Myths and Legends from Gorbag’s Domain’. Their first full length, self-titled album followed in 2023. This album and their high impact live show has garnered the interest of the Australian music industry. Recently the band supported KISS on their End of The World Tour, The Smashing Pumpkins and Janes Addiction on the The World Is a Vampire tour.

ABAS is the experimental music project of Irish duo Patrick Blaney and Dara Tohill. The band have been labelled as progressive postrock that draws from their influences of 90's shoegaze posthardcore and Neoclassical. Following the release of their debut EP in 2017 the band began were able to attract attention of the experimental music scene supporting genre-defining heavyweights Tera Melos and And So I Watch You From Afar. The band toured relentlessly across Europe from 2018-2019, often for months at a time, even once resulting in the hospitalization of a band member. The extensive tours included more high-profile shows including, an appearance at Bergmal Festival 2019 in Zürich, Post In Paris 2019 and Colossal in Copenhagen 2021. The 2020 bombastic self-titled, released with Moment of Collapse, draws from everything from emo, to math-rock, to hardcore punk, and even black metal and is now available on all streaming platforms. Since then ABAS have been busy with a recent adoption from the Pelagic family and currently working away on their second album.

Berlin-based Irish gothic-folk singer-songwriter A.S. Fanning’s songs are often lyrically driven, taking inspiration from Irish literary tradition and folk music as well as from 60s psychedelia and rock n roll. Since his debut single ‘Carmelita’, released on 7-inch vinyl in 2015, he has been touring throughout Europe and further afield, showcasing at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas and playing other renowned festivals such as Hard Working Class Heroes (Dublin) and Endless Daze (Cape Town). His debut album, the self-produced ‘Second Life’, was released in 2017 on Proper Octopus Records, with The 405 calling it ‘an emotional joy ride with songs of devotion and endured heartache...8/10’. His sophomore album ‘You Should Go Mad’ was released in November 2020. Clash Magazine called it ‘The sound of an artist pushing himself to the brink’. Opportunities to perform live in support of the album’s release were limited due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but he did complete a German tour in September 2021, with Frankfurt Allgemeine (FAZ) being particularly impressed with Fanning’s ‘first-class compositions’ and the band’s ‘pitch-black sea of sound’. In June 2022 he completed his first European-wide tour. His third album, ‘Mushroom Cloud, will be released on May 26th on K&F Records/Proper Octopus. This is an 18+ event.

Pulled Apart by Horses are an alternative rock band from Leeds, England. They formed in early 2008. In 2009 they were successfully signed by Transgressive Records and released their debut self-titled album Pulled Apart by Horses on 21 June 2010. In August 2011, the band went into Monnow Valley Studio in Wales to record with renowned Foo Fighters & Pixies record producer Gil Norton, and their second album Tough Love was released to critical acclaim on 20 January 2012. After Tough Love, the band sold out their first European tour, and went on to support Biffy Clyro & Foals. In 2010 they supported Muse at the Manchester County Cricket Ground. In September 2014 the band's 3rd album Blood became their first top 40, entering the charts at 38. In 2016, Pulled Apart by Horses recorded a take over for Annie Mac and the BBC's Radio 1 in the United Kingdom. The band's 4th album, The Haze was released in March 2017 and reached number 12 in the charts. In October 2019, Pulled Apart By Horses released the stand alone single ‘Is This Thing On?’ Through Transgressive Records and have also revealed that they are currently working on their 5th album​
