How to Train Your Dad to Be a Feminist: Play Development
How to Train Your Dad to Be a Feminist by Sophie Wink is a new play in development. The play explores the deep rooted misogyny in our family relationships as one family's celebratory dinner unravels around their kitchen table. Through the play's characters, we experience the tension between a generation yearning for change, parents fighting against the attitudes of the generations before, and a family holding on to love. This sharing will invite your feedback during a Q&A to support final developments before bringing the play to the stage; a rare opportunity for Aberdeen audiences to see and support professional theatre before production. During the Q&A you will have the chance to ask your own questions about the piece and developing new theatre. The project is led by an early-career team of theatre-makers based in the North and North East Scotland. Funded by the National Lottery via Creative Scotland. Directed by Sophie Bender Produced by Laura Valerie Walker Recommended for 12+ (infrequent strong language and minor references to sexual assault)
