Kudzu, Guest In The Car, WLDAN, Ferb, Danny Marriott
Ranga Records is coming to the Amersham Arms for the first time in August. With a lineup full of familiar names and fresh energy - this is not one to miss! Kudzu: Kudzu are a fresh London band blending the grit of rock with the introspection of singer-songwriter music. Their sound pairs bold, driving melodies with thoughtful, politically charged lyrics and personal storytelling. Expect a dynamic set that's as powerful as it is heartfelt-they won't disappoint. Guest in the car: Guest In The Car is a London-based four-piece alt-rock band creating music that centres on the complexities of modern life. The band formed after meeting at university and on the open mic circuit. Their honest, atmospheric sound blends raw emotion with introspective and relatable lyrics, touching on themes of self-esteem and social media. Influenced by bands like Radiohead and Been Stellar, their anthemic alt-rock songwriting highlights frontman Rob Vel's communicative voice. WLDAN: WLDAN is an alternative rock artist who has gained a reputation by gigging around the midlands and London, inspired by the likes of King Krule, Oscar Jerome and John Martyn, he blends rock with jazz and psychedelia to create songs with hitting lyrics and hard grooves. Ferb: Ferb hail from the suburbs of South London and have been making waves thanks to their electrifying live shows, all before having a release under their belt. After a summer of relentless gigging they finally brought us singles hello vera and black sheep, the first two songs written for the band, showcasing a familiar yet raw and refreshing brand of post-punk inspired by the early-mid 2000's revival scene. However theyre already showing sonic growth into a much bigger sound, paired with an emotive and passionate songwriting style highlighted in the new tracks theyve been debuting live. Danny Marriott: Danny Marriott is an Alternative rock artist from Sidcup, Kent, and has been writing, playing, and releasing fast paced, alternative rock music, created in his bedroom, for the last two years, taking inspiration from bands like wunderhorse and Nothing but Thieves.
