Angel Shed is an inclusive theatre company that has been delivering high-quality workshops and productions for all children and young people in Islington for the past decade. All members are given the opportunity to develop a range of performance techniques including dance, drama and music throughout every term, with sharing ideas and devising at the core of every activity and performance. Angel Shed’s vision is that every child, regardless of ability or background be given the opportunity to participate in the performing arts. As a fully inclusive theatre, all our workshops have a 1:2 ratio of practitioner to participant, enabling every child, whatever their ability, to be fully supported to achieve their very best.

Inclusive Facilitation Training For Freelancers

Through an experiential, active learning approach, this full-day training (10.00am - 4.00pm) is designed for freelance facilitators who are looking to refresh their inclusive toolkit or ignite their inclusive practice for the first time. We will explore: The Inclusive Welcome What is Inclusivity? Angel Sheds 8 Points of Inclusivity Identifying and Supporting Needs (including Positive Behaviour Support) Inclusive Communication (including learning some basic Makaton) Inclusive Language Planned vs. Responsive Inclusivity Adapting Games and Exercises Please note the training is delivered in person at our base Capital City College - Holloway Centre, London. We welcome participants from outside of London, however, we cannot cover travel or accommodation expenses.
