Banff Fayres are a series of community events held at Banff Castle in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. These fayres typically occur on the second Sunday of each month, offering a vibrant mix of local crafts, food, music, and family activities. They serve as a platform for local artisans and vendors to showcase their products, while also providing a fun and engaging experience for visitors of all ages. Vendors include: Craft Stalls: Local artisans display handmade goods such as jewelry, artwork, and home decor. Food Vendors: Offering a selection of local delicacies and refreshments. The Castle Garden Coffee House and Cafe will be open. These fayres are a wonderful opportunity to experience the local culture, support small businesses, and enjoy a day out in the historic setting of Banff Castle.

Celebrate 201 years of Banff’s unique friendship with Argentina at Banff Castle. Enjoy an afternoon of brass bands, pipers, a walking tour, face painting, games, Argentine ice creams, South American empanadas and more. A short memorial will mark the death of General San Martín in 1850, and an exhibition will explore the rich history and new research on Banff’s Argentine links. At 4pm, enjoy an illustrated talk by an acclaimed author on the final years of the “Hero” who visited Banff in 1824. Presented by the Scottish Branch of the British San Martín Institute, with Banff Castle and Friends of Duff House.
