Rose Singers Choir

2 Sept 2025 - 2 Sept 2025

Introducing the Rose Singers, a new adult choir based at Barton Peveril College. Under the guidance of their musical director Bryan Postlethwaite, singers will meet at Barton Peveril on Tuesday evenings, 6:30pm to 8pm during term time, for an enriching musical experience. While auditions aren't necessary, this choir welcomes those with some singing experience and a modest familiarity with reading music. The repertoire? Diverse, catering to both seasoned singers and those seeking a bit of a challenge. Sessions will be designed to elevate skills through engaging rehearsals that strike the perfect balance between enjoyment and growth. Collaboration is at the heart of this group's mission. Projects in partnership with the college's music department with concerts at top venues across the region throughout the year await. Christmas Crackerpella

Christmas Crackerpella

14 Dec 2025 - 14 Dec 2025

An evening of seasonal sounds and more with Winchester A Cappella and Friends! Spend an evening in the company of Winchester A Cappella and enjoy a selection of seasonal sounds including Sleigh Ride, Mary Did You Know and All I Want For Christmas. Other treats such as Grace Kelly (Mika), One Day Like This (Elbow) and Nessun Dorma (from Puccinis opera Turendot) will sit alongside performances from local steel drum group Panatical and Piqu School of Performing Arts, providing a variety of festive delights for everyone to enjoy! You will also have a second chance to watch our version of The Lorax. First performed by Winchester A Cappella in 2023, this forgotten musical gem was inspired by the books of childrens author, Dr Seuss. With its poignant environmental message, the story is as relevant today as when it was written in 1971. This evening promises to be a diverse feast of entertainment from truly talented local performers. All proceeds will go to The Sophie Barringer Trust, a charity that supports children and families impacted by life limiting conditions.
